In the heart of every child is a hunger for home. Not just for food and place to sleep but for safety and community. Shangrilla at Sri Aurobindo International School is a home for children who under certain circumstances have been given up by their parents for their better future. Shangrilla was started by Gen. Kalkat in 1984. For more than 35 years with the help of caring Sri Aurobindo Society Patiala, Shangrilla brings as much love and care to such children.
Shangrilla is a residential institution which provides both education and health care for the children. A number of inmates of this constitution mostly boys are regular students of Sri Aurobindo International School. Shangrilla ensures proper growth and development in all respect to enable them to make independent and live with dignity as a good citizen of society.
